Becky Kavanagh
Becky Kavanagh is a 33-year veteran of the nanny industry. Becky served on the board of the International Nanny Association for many years, was involved with her local nanny support group, and was part of her local International Nanny Training Day planning committee. She is the owner of Busy B Services which has a division called The Hive, specifically assisting nannies and newborn care specialists with resumes, digital portfolios, and interview coaching. Becky lives in Minnesota and enjoys crafting handmade cards.

Michelle LaRowe
Michelle LaRowe is the editor-in-chief of Nanny Magazine. Michelle LaRowe has more than 20 years of nanny industry experience. As an International Nanny Association credentialed nanny and Nanny of the Year™ award recipient, Michelle has authored several parenting books including Nanny to the Rescue!, Nanny to the Rescue Again! and Working Mom’s 411. Michelle has also served as executive director of the International Nanny Association, executive director of Morningside Nannies, editor in chief of eNannySource.com, and as an expert content contributor, product reviewer and consultant for a variety of major brands. To educate the next generation of nannies, Michelle launched NannyTraining.com where she serves as lead educator. Her formative course, offered exclusively in partnership with NannyStella, Inc., is the only US Based CACHE Endorsed Customized Qualification for nannies.
Shada Lambert
Shada Lambert is a international career nanny, parent coach, and sleep consultant. Though raised in the UK, her work has taken her across the globe to places like Oman, Spain, Greece, and Italy. Shada has over 15 years of experience in the early childhood sector and has recently completed her masters degree in childhood studies and early years. She also holds a degree in arts and social sciences with a focus on dance and drama. Shada has cared for children of all ages, including twins, and enjoys working as a traditional and travel nanny.
Rachel Lawrence
Rachel Lawrence is the proud mother of three young children and has over 15 years of experience in the in-home childcare industry. Rachel has worked as a nanny, operated her own boutique nanny placement agency, and been a nanny employer as a working mom. Rachel served as the Operations Manager for the International Nanny Association, and subsequently as a placement specialist for a larger agency and a national newborn care specialist agency before becoming the Agency Partner Specialist at HomeWork Solutions. Rachel is a big proponent of developing and adhering to high industry standards. Rachel holds membership in the International Nanny Association and has also served on INA’s board of directors. She regularly attends and presents at industry conferences, including iNNTD, Nannypalooza, the International Nanny Association, and the Association of Premier Nanny Agencies.
Guy Maddalone
Guy Maddalone has more than 30 years of experience in the payroll, human resource, and employment services industries. In 1991, he founded GTM Payroll Services to provide payroll, tax, compliance, and insurance administration for families that hired a nanny or other household employees. Chyanne Martens
Chyanne Martens is a nanny in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, whose caregiving experience began when she helped raise her many siblings. As a daycare teacher, nanny, and daycare teacher she has found so much joy in creating loving relationships with children of all ages. Chyanne firmly believes that raising children is one of the most important jobs there is. Helping raise kind, loving, passionate, creative, and respectful children is something she doesn’t take lightly. Chyanne thrives with newborns to toddlers to preschool-age children and older. In her free time, Chyanne enjoys spending time with her husband and pets, being creative with home décor and design, and staying active.
Nicola Manton
Nicola Manton, M.Ed., the founder of Guiding Little Hands, is a passionate early childhood educator, author, and licensed school counselor who has dedicated her professional life to understanding how children learn, and how we, as adults, can facilitate them best in developing a lifelong love of learning. In 2019, Nicola started to put what she’d learned into an easy to navigate form, so that parents, teachers, and caregivers could use appropriate techniques in developing activities for their children. The CCC method was developed; created to be used not only in the classroom, but also, and possibly more significantly, in the home. Nicola believes that teaching children should not be stressful for either party, and learning must always be FUN. You’ll find the book The CCC Method: A guide to making teachable moments count on Amazon in May 2020. Nicola also published her first children’s book, A Hug, in 2019 that helps parents introduce consent to children as young as two years of age.
Cate Matijevich
Cate Matijevich is an advisory board member for Nanny Magazine. Hailing from Chicago, Illinois, Cate has been in the private service industry for over 15 years. During this time, she has served in many household roles including nanny, house manager, and cook. Cate is passionate about her nanny work and takes great joy in caring for children and managing her principals’ homes. Cate is an avid learner, always seeking the best solutions for children and their families. She enjoys staying current with childrearing trends through ongoing professional development trainings. Cate actively participates in events that support the nanny industry, including traveling internationally for conferences and supporting the industry groups she holds membership in. As the founder and chair of the International Nanny Association’s Ambassador Program, Cate’s desire is to strengthen and grow international nanny relationships and build stronger local nanny communities.
Helen McCarthy
Helen McCarthy is an NNEB qualified nanny and has over 25 years of experience in the nanny industry. In 2016, Helen was awarded the Nanny of the Year Award by the International Nanny Association. Helen’s current practice focuses on newborn care including the care of premature infants, twins, triplets, and babies with allergies. She also serves on the International Nanny Association board of directors. In 2017, along with Sue Downey, Helen brought Nannypalooza to the UK. Helen also owns and operates UK Nanny Ltd, a global company dedicated to event planning for nannies.

Michelle, who earned her BA in Speech and Hearing Sciences from UC Santa Barbara and her MS in Speech-Language Pathology from Boston University before establishing her private practice in Santa Monica, CA, in 1995, has decades of experience working with families.
