Father’s Day is on Sunday, and if you’re like me, you wait until the very last minute to whip something together with your charges. After going through the countless adorable ideas for Father’s Day crafts on Pinterest, I settled on these five. These ideas are super easy (and cute) and are sure to make your DadBoss’ special day even more special.
You’re Tie-riffic!
Materials
- Construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Markers, colored pencils, or paint
- Stickers (optional)
Instructions
- Have your charge decorate a piece of construction paper with paint, markers, stickers, sparkles, or anything else you can get your hands on.
- Draw the outline of a tie and have your charge cut it out using safety scissors. Lend a helping hand to younger kids here, nannies!
- If your charge can write, have them write “You are tie-riffic!” on a blank piece of paper. Cut this piece out and paste it to the dried, decorated construction paper. Voila! You’re all done! DadBoss now has a cute keepsake to remind him that he is tie-riffic all year long!

Instructions
- Sit down with your charge and brainstorm fun and easy ways they can help dad around the house. (e.g., Sweep the floor, clear or set the table, bring Dad his slippers, etc.)
- Cut the paper into 3x5” rectangles. You can make as many or as few as you want. We made seven, one for each day of the week.
- Write down each idea you come up with on each piece of paper. You can have your charge decorate a separate one to use as the cover.
- Put the “coupons” together either with a stapler or with ribbon to create your very own coupon book for Dad!
