Fall-Themed Date Nights
Often, nannies spend their down time organizing activities for their charges and do not spend enough time planning outings for themselves or their significant others. Being dedicated to your job can take a toll on your relationships outside of work. Here are some fun date night ideas so you can spend some one-on-one time with someone you love without having to spend hours arranging the perfect date or breaking the bank.
Have a Campout
Fall is the perfect time to bring out the outdoorsy side of you. The humidity is at a low and the bugs are less of a nuisance, yet it is still warm so you don’t feel like you’re dying of hypothermia. Set up a tent in the back yard, light the campfire, and cook up some hot dogs. Turn your cell phones off and spend some quality time together. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can camp out away from home. Find the perfect location by doing a search for local hiking trails. Don’t forget the marshmallows!
Bond over Pumpkins
Spend the day at the pumpkin patch and bring some home to get creative with. Snuggle up with some hot apple cider and go for a hayride around the pumpkin patch. Have fun carving your pumpkins together. As an added bonus, you can bake your pumpkin seeds, testing out different recipes.
Get Scared
With Halloween just around the corner, there are plenty of haunted attractions that will make you want to scoot in a little closer to your loved one. From haunted houses to touring a state penitentiary, you’ll be sure to have an eventful evening. If live action sounds a little too thrilling for you, go to the movies and catch the latest horror flick.
Go to the Amusement Park
With frigid weather right around the corner, amusement parks have great deals on admission during the fall. Spend the day riding rollercoasters and playing games. Don’t forget to check out the gift shop to bring home a souvenir, purchase a candid picture of yourselves on a ride for a keepsake, or get a caricature picture drawn. You’ll be sure to have some laughs.
Date nights don’t have to be expensive or require a lot of planning. Whether you decide to go to an impromptu football game or go for a scenic car ride to see all of the trees changing colors, taking the time together out of your busy schedule to reconnect with your other half is important.
